With students and teachers back in their classrooms and much of the basic infrastructure of the New Orleans campus in place, the LSU Health Sciences Center Foundation is ever grateful for the outpouring of support. Yet long after the waters have subsided, effects of the storm still linger. FEMA is providing some much-needed help to a percentage of the damaged buildings, but there are many programs that will not receive any reimbursement.
